The Amazon Ads Shopper Experience team innovates and designs on behalf of our customers. We are relentlessly focused on improving how customers experience ads around the world. We are seeking a Principal UX Designer to help lead, define, and improve the end-to-end CX. Amazon Ads UX team members work with global product, marketing, branding, science, and other tech team partners to deliver compelling customer experiences for Amazon. Key job responsibilities - Analyze customer problems and oversee the design of delightful solutions that meet measurable business goals. - Mentor other designers and be a bar-raiser for quality of work. - Work across organizations and verticals to standardize and educate others on design systems and visual languages. - Work closely with product and business partners to develop a shared vision and lead a process to define and design experiences that deliver on those shared objectives. - Partner with technology teams to ensure we leverage the scale offered by our platform without compromising on core experience principles. - Present design work to partners and executive leadership for review, feedback, and sign-off. - Measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations.
  • 12+ years of professional design experience
  • Skill in developing rapid UI prototypes
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with retail, technology development, and device partners
  • Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity
  • Strong skills in both working with and presenting to executive leaders.
  • Proficiency working with Figma.
  • Experience driving, maintaining, and mechanizing collaboration across teams with divergent needs/goals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
