FS-Elliott is seeking a Product Manager to drive product strategy and development in the gas compression market, leveraging a technical background to enhance customer satisfaction and product profitability.

FS-Elliott is looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to add to our team to support the gas compression market segment. This role will be responsible to drive product strategy, development, and market positioning to ensure the success and growth of our offerings in this specialized area. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the gas compression industry, and exceptional skills in strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.


Responsibilities


Market Strategy and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the gas compression segment.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s goals.
  • Monitor industry developments and recommend adjustments to the product roadmap as needed.
Product Development:
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to guide product design and development.
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and performance targets based on market needs and customer feedback.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Customer Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer feedback and inquiries related to gas compression products.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop customer-centric messaging, tools, and campaigns.
  • Support key account management by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
Financial Performance:
  • Develop pricing strategies and manage product profitability.
  • Track product performance metrics and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product strategy and operational execution.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Present product updates, business cases, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership


Skills, Knowledge and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business Development related field, or equivalent combination of industry experience and education.
  • Basic knowledge of Product Management principles and theory, and experience with new product development processes preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of gas compression technologies, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated Customer Centric attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Interpersonal influence; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
  • Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
  • Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment
  • Must possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate others to be better tomorrow than they are today
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; CRM, ERP & Marketing Automation systems experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support global teams.
