LOCATION
Remote position, can sit anywhere in the US.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS Degree with relevant experience, 5+ years in product management including leadership roles, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience in the insurance, benefits, HR, or financial industry is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define product vision and strategy, prioritize product features, collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, conduct market analysis, oversee product lifecycle management, and ensure alignment with client needs.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Product Manager at Gallagher Benefit Services will lead the development and evolution of product offerings aimed at addressing post-employment health and financial needs, maximizing value for clients and their employees.

- Define and align the product vision, strategy governance, and roadmap, in collaboration with business leads, business stakeholders, sales, and delivery
- Be accountable and responsible for understanding current and prospective client needs, competitive offerings, and relative priorities to win and retain in the space, leveraging the sales team, advisor relationships, client focus groups, and other stakeholder and insights as input
- Be accountable and responsible for setting vision and determining relative priorities for their product(s), in collaboration with consultants/advisors, business development, clients and other internal stakeholders
- Be accountable and responsible for articulating and testing feedback on product direction to current and prospective clients via direct conversations, advisory groups, and other methods to secure buy-in to the product direction
- Be accountable for gating of product feature enhancements identified by internal groups for current and prospective clients to support sales, retention, and investment objectives for the offering
- Be accountable and responsible for product planning, prioritization for product development, product introduction, and lifecycle management including financial performance – collaborating with functional teams to ensure your vision is well executed
- Collaborate with platform development and/or data teams to determine feasibility, desirability/ROI, timing, and approach for new features or any feature enhancements based on relative priorities
- Responsible for business case development to support areas of significant investment
- Lead product benchmarking and gap reports, in liaison with marketing, global practices and global products
- Oversight of offerings to individual clients, their profitability and potential enhancements to support business development and client retention
Critical Competencies:
- Able to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Able to collaborate with clients, prospects and key stakeholders to identify thought leadership and sales opportunities
- Able to manage individual work products associated with key responsibilities
- Able to organize and prioritize work with limited supervision and adjust to changing priorities to execute on key business objectives
- BA or BS Degree with relative industry experience
- 5+ years of product management experience, including progression of leadership roles
- Direct experience building new products / product offerings in an organizational context
- 5+ years of consulting within the insurance, benefits, HR, and/or financial industry
- Experience working within Agile methodologies
