Join Lexia’s Customer Success department as a Product Manager to enhance Professional Services products aligned with the Science of Reading, providing impactful support for educators and improving student outcomes.

Lexia is a highly-respected developer of technology-based reading programs for all students Pre-K- Grade 5, at-risk students Grades 6-12, and Science of Reading professional learning for teachers and leaders. The Customer Success department at Lexia collaborates with customers to help them reach their desired outcome while having an outstanding experience. We partner with K-12 administrators and educators to implement Lexia programs with fidelity and ensure optimal student outcomes. We help our customers build capacity locally to implement Lexia programs effectively and efficiently, ensuring sustainability and a powerful return on investment - strong and confident readers!
Job Overview:
The Customer Success department is looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about joining a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of learners and educators. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to envision, build, refine, launch, and manage Professional Services products - including coaching, certification programs, and product implementation support - aligned to Lexia’s Science of Reading Professional Learning product line.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute short and long term roadmap for Professional Services products aligned to Lexia’s Science of Reading Professional Learning product line - including LETRS and Aspire - to support the entire customer journey from implementation through sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Product Management to inform Lexia’s overall Professional Services strategy and roadmap and to help ensure alignment across the entire product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from departments including Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Research, Curriculum and more to inform product-specific roadmap development.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Success Management stakeholders to develop and deliver product enablement resources and support related to product launches, releases, and revisions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to tell a customer-value focused story and demonstrate its connection to the overall Lexia brand story as expressed in different mediums, including collateral, communication campaigns and on the Lexia website.
  • Analyze and report up product performance metrics, including sales data, service utilization, customer sentiment, margin and attachment rate to assess the degree to which products are meeting market needs and satisfying business requirements as well as to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct market research using proven methodologies, including surveys, focus groups and A/B testing to remain in touch with customer needs and continually assess the competitive environment.
  • Develop business cases including definition of market opportunity, financial model, detailed user stories, go-to-market plans and resource requirements for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team for new products or significant enhancements to existing products.
  • Develop and maintain transparent product backlogs including feature requests, enhancements and other needs communicated from customers and internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree required, or equivalent experience. A Graduate Degree is preferred.
  • Proven work experience with five or more years in product management within the educational technology market, preferably with K12 Professional Services, Coaching and/or Certification products.
  • Experience managing products at all stages of the product life cycle, especially Development, Introduction, and Growth.
  • Ability to understand and help shape the “big picture” while communicating plans to execute on current product strategy.
  • Foundational understanding of customer success methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Education experts, Marketing and Sales organizations on product research and launches.
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills. Highly developed listening skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate long term strategic initiatives and/or roadmaps and recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. Ability to work collaboratively with peers and executives across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple, critical projects.
  • Passionate about solving customer problems (the big ones and the small ones).
  • Experience within a SaaS product organization preferably in or related to K-12 education preferred.
  • Product management certification such as from the Pragmatic Institute preferred.
