SHORT DESCRIPTION

As a Product Marketing Manager, you'll define positioning and communication strategies for a Digital Onboarding platform, focusing on customer needs and the competitive landscape.

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will help us define how we position the Digital Onboarding engagement platform and communicate our value to customers and the broader marketplace. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will gain a rich understanding of how the platform works, the value our platform provides, the competitive landscape, and the customer and member engagement challenges and opportunities within the bank and credit union industries.

This role is responsible for defining our Ideal Customer Profile and key buyer personas, defining core marketing and sales messages, authoring informative and effective marketing content, disseminating the results of competitive and customer research to internal stakeholders, and serving as an influential thought leader.

This role requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, deep customer empathy, a knack for simplifying complex concepts, and a talent for compelling storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Storytelling & Copywriting: Define core marketing and sales messages, leverage campaign insights from Client Services to author case studies, write best-practice guides and other marketing assets, and be a thought leader on social media and at virtual and live events.
  • Ideal Customer Profile & Personas: Partner with the CMO, Product team, and other stakeholders to define our Ideal Customer Profile and buyer personas.
  • Voice of the Customer: Work with the CMO, Product, and Client Services teams to deeply understand financial institutions’ challenges, needs, and desires. Leverage insights to inform customer personas, marketing themes, and storytelling.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends, competitive products, and technological innovations. Partner with the Product team to share insights and create competitive battle cards that our teams can leverage to produce better sales outcomes.
  • Platform Usage Insights: Collaborate with the Client Services and Product teams to distill and share platform usage trends to inform our product roadmap and storytelling.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, brand marketing, marketing strategies, product management, and/or marketing communications fields
  • 2+ years of bank or credit union or similar industry knowledge
  • 2+ years of recent experience in working intensively with marketing automation platforms
  • Proven ability to simplify concept concepts and author informative and compelling content that resonates with our key audiences
  • Ability to win a virtual or in-person audience over with your industry knowledge, empathy, and insights
  • A research mindset that propels you to question the status quo and seek industry and competitor insights that will enable us to own a unique and valuable position in the marketplace
