The Credit Solutions team specializes in delivering credit-based and credit-complementary data products to the insurance market, enabling accurate rating and underwriting of new and renewal business. About the role
The Product Manager will join the Credit and Public Records Product Management team, supporting the National Credit File, InsurView, and Commercial Credit products. This team is responsible for providing credit-based and complementary data products to the insurance market that help carriers price and underwrite new and renewal business. The Product Manager demonstrates an in-depth knowledge on the use of information in the insurance (or related) industry and LexisNexis products, product management principles, and laws and regulations (including FCRA, DPPA, and GLBA regulations) governing data protection and security. The Product Manager serves as a product owner and SME for a product, applying experience and expertise to oversee product performance and ensure ongoing and increasing market value. This role involves collaboration with verticals, client engagement, operations, technology, and finance, and is performed with a high degree of autonomy.
Responsibilities:
  • Customer Focus: Directly addresses customer complaints and focuses on delivering commitments. Independently interacts with customers to understand their needs and market basics, staying updated on market news and competitors. Acts as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to both internal and external partners.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis: Analyzes situations and data autonomously, comparing various possibilities and making recommendations considering business implications. Proficient in using predefined dashboards to make informed decisions.
  • Product Marketing: Develops and updates marketing materials to convey product details, benefits, and competitive comparisons. Executes go-to-market plans and communicates product performance and updates within the organization. Supports client engagement through presentations, training, and implementation recommendations.
  • Product Support: Acts as a Subject Matter Expert, resolving customer issues and consulting with Client Engagement. Monitors product operations, including customer questions and system performance, within agreed Service Level Agreements. Tracks financial trends and forecasts.
  • Strategy & Commercial Acumen: Links personal goals with product team strategies and contributes to the product strategy and roadmap. Understands and utilizes drivers for improving customer experience and aligns role contributions with business goals.
  • Technical Skills: Engages with developers to understand technology constraints and prioritizes requirement changes. Facilitates proper product documentation and uses tools to coordinate activities and ensure quality. Participates in process improvement and understands relevant technology architecture.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in business or other quantitative field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a product management function, preferably in insurance (or related field) or the data decisioning industry.
  • Competencies: Builds relationships by being approachable and friendly, and participates in gatherings to develop new relationships. Demonstrates business acumen with knowledge of business principles and financial understanding. Collaborates effectively within teams and communicates powerfully.
