The Product Specialist provides product-level insights and support, ensuring effective marketing and development of solutions for RV and Marine industries, working with various teams to bring products from concept to production.

Product Specialist
Our Product Specialists provide product-level cost models, insight and support for the product marketing, product development, sales and customer service departments to ensure that products are marketed correctly, and collateral accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona. This includes but is not limited to, program schedule management, program budget management, overall program scope and execution. The product specialist also works with design engineers, product managers, operations, supply chain, innovation teams and customers to ensure program design activities, goals, and targets are completed on-time, on budget and are successful. Key emphasis is the ability to work in a fast-paced project team to bring various RV and Specialty product solutions from concept through prototyping/production for customers in the RV and Marine industries.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product cost models
- Connect with industry internal and external customers locally and globally to understand and evolve products.
- Support the product roadmap process and maintain documentation
- Test existing products and new product per various industry standards to meet product requirements, safety, compliance and performance.
- Support business case creation with competitive landscape information
- Complete competitive analysis and understand our products in the market
- Monitor, update and communicate product-level insights
- Conduct product-focused market research. Possible research topics include customer requirements, sales team feedback and product innovations with competitors
- Support product launches for offline and online channels
- Facilitate innovation prototypes into manufacturable production ready prototypes in coordination with various plants on new designs.
- Collaborate cross functionally on competitor pricing, market development, item analytics, selling and field solutions
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Communicate and train Salespeople and Customer Service on product lines
- Rationalization process, making recommendations and pricing CWSL items
- Lead idea generation and project scope meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work Experience: 2 years of marketing experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Manufacturing/industry experience in RV, Electronics, Marine.
- Experience in multi-site organization with evolving design and manufacturing needs
- Experience working with OE customers/ customer integrators
- Experience converting OE products into appropriate Aftermarket products
- Previous experience as an application specialist or similar role
- Proficiency in app development/ usage/ interface/ GUI
This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.
Travel:
Travel will be minimal up to 20% locally and nationwide. Occasional travel to trade shows/ seminars. Occasional travel for customer visits.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
