SHORT DESCRIPTION

Product Owner/Scrum Master at The Maze Group, responsible for client projects, documenting business requirements, and liaising between technical and business teams.

OVERVIEW

At Maze, we believe that companies need partners who operate like owners, which means we work with our clients to identify opportunities that fundamentally change their business. Using technical solutions and full-funnel marketing tactics, Maze identifies, plans, executes, and refines to achieve outcomes that matter.

With services that include consulting and advisory engagements, systems integration, managed services, acquisition, retention, and conversion rate optimization, Maze works with some of the largest, best known brands in the world, as well as growing businesses, to reach their commerce potential. We are seeking a Product Owner/Scrum Master who will focus primarily on being the point person on client projects, documenting business requirements and acting as the liaison between technical and business teams.

WHY WORK AT MAZE?

    • Unlimited paid time off for all employees - Although we love what we do, we know it’s important for people to spend time unplugged and out of the office to recharge.
    • 12 paid holidays, plus a company-wide holiday break from Christmas to New Year's Day - In case you’re someone that needs to be forced to take some time out of the office, we’ll make sure that happens!
  • Life-friendly work environment - We realize that people have lives outside of work and believe work should enhance, not hinder, our lives. We look at Maze as a collection of individuals rather than numbers on a spreadsheet. This means we hire outstanding, talented people and trust them to produce amazing work with the belief that life comes first.
      • Flexible work schedules - Morning person or night owl? We don’t force productive work to fit a 9-5 schedule. Work when you feel equipped to face tasks at your best. Need to drive your grandma to the doctor? Don’t sweat it. Have to pick your kids up from school during a big meeting? We’ll cover it. - Flexible work locations - We were born in New York City and while we still consider that home, our team is spread across the US in order for us to find the best talent.
    • Summer Friday Hours - Love the warm weather and late sunsets summer provides? Us too! That’s why we let our team shut down early on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Summer is short, we want our team to enjoy it while it’s around.
    • Exciting clients and projects - We work with both well-known enterprise-level brands and innovative consumer startups to solve complex technological and business problems. No two clients are the same, so it’s guaranteed to keep things interesting! You can find some of our clients and the work we’ve done for them here.
    • We’re growing - We’ve grown steadily and profitably since our founding in 2017 and are continuing to do so. If you like a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can directly see the impact you have on projects and the bottom line, we’re the place for you.
  • No-meeting Fridays - To help combat meeting overload, Fridays are reserved for heads-down work, to finish up projects before the weekend, or to work on personal growth projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Function as a liaison between the development team and the functional/business team breaking down technical requirements into digestible information for non-technical resources, and vice versa
  • Lead internal and external stakeholders via workshops, through the design and functional discussions, ensuring a thorough understanding of the customer’s business processes and requirements
  • Create documentation, charts, and diagrams necessary to communicate detailed requirements to the development teams
  • Support the client through creating training, standard operating procedure guides and more
  • Collaborate with the core project team on new/existing eCommerce implementations to ensure timely and effective delivery of requirements documentation
