LOCATION
Hybrid remote in Somerville, MA 02145; occasional travel to the Lower Mystic area (Charlestown, Everett, Chelsea, Medford, and Malden).
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field; 2-4 years of experience in a marketing or project management role; strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and experience with marketing platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and administer transportation demand management programs, develop new programs, engage members, prepare marketing materials, plan events, manage social media, maintain website updates, and assist in securing grant funding.

The Program Manager will support Lower Mystic TMA by managing transportation programs, engaging community members, and executing marketing strategies to improve transportation mobility and reduce congestion in the service area.
Lower Mystic Transportation Management Association (LMTMA) Program Manager
Full-time Role-40 hours per week;
overtime exempt. Schedule includes
normal business hours and occasional
evening and weekend hours for outreach
Scope of Work
The Program Manager will provide marketing and operational support for Lower Mystic TMA, a transportation management association (TMA), serving the communities of Everett, Charlestown, Medford, Chelsea and Malden. TMAs are non-profit organizations made up of property owners, employers, citizens’ organizations, and municipal partners who are working together to address transportation mobility, access, and congestion reduction.
Working in a fast-paced environment under the direction of NorthEase Consulting Group management, the Program Manager will play an important role in executing the tasks included in the TMA’s annual work plan.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all Lower Mystic TMA (LMTMA) transportation demand management (TDM) programs.
- Develop new TDM programs to serve member companies.
- Engaging members to assist in fulfilling the TMA goals, mission, and objectives.
- Working to raise the visibility of the TMA and its members.
- Coordinate with and attend meetings with MassCommute, community-based organizations, municipal planning board and other municipal departments.
- Work with member companies and their employees, tenants and residents to encourage participation in TDM programs.
- Respond to inquiries and provide positive customer service to members, program participants, and interested parties.
- Prepare and implement targeted social media marketing plan to encourage program participation.
- Plan and host program events to promote and drive participation in programs.
- Create promotional materials including designing print materials and creating web content and events for TDM programs.
- Review and keep the LMTMA website refreshed and up-to-date .
- Perform administrative duties associated with TDM programs– including implementing adjustments to programs based on analysis and recommendations from the management team.
- Create quarterly TMA newsletter.
- Create news alerts related to information that impacts travel to and within the LMTMA service area
- Create and distribute communications to members and interested parties.
- Assist with acquiring grant funding and in the development of proposals as appropriate to pilot congestion/trip reduction programs.
- Successfully implement annual LMTMA work plan as approved by the Board of Directors.
- Develop digital resources like maps, infographics to show the TMA’s impact to various constituent groups and the general public.
- Design, complete, and implement various projects and presentations as assigned by the LMTMA Executive Team.
- Participate in meetings, programming, and professional development opportunities of local and national transportation demand management (TDM) organizations.
- Additional administrative tasks as needed to support the core TMA team.
Other requirements
- Ability to lift (up to 25 lbs) and transport equipment for on-site events.
- Ability to commute to and from the Lower Mystic area (Charlestown, Everett, Chelsea, Medford and Malden).
- Ability to occasionally spend time outdoors at events for up to 3 hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a marketing role or project management role.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
- A strong customer service background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Experience with various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, email marketing and graphic design.
- Creative, eager to learn and a team player
- Ability to travel locally via transit, car, etc., between client locations when needed.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Canva, Squarespace, Survey Monkey and GIS software a plus
- A desire to make an impact; socially and professionally.

Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Annual merit increases are anticipated at 3-5% each year based on annual performance review, and annual bonus program based on performance.
