Job Description


AECOM
is seeking an experienced Marketing & Proposal Specialist to lead and write proposals to support our cutting-edge sports design studio as part of our Buildings + Places business line. This role will work in collaboration with the sports marketing lead and business development team on identified priority pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts for professional and collegiate sports venues and facilities.

This position will offer a hybrid work schedule of both in office and remote work and can be based out of, but not limited to: Houston, TX.

Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and supports from capture through to interview stage, as required.

  • Coordinates content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production. Provides conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.

  • May facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.

  • Participates in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.

  • Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead and reviews debriefs and reviews client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.

  • Has solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).

  • Liaises with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).

  • Provides guidance to entry level proposal team members

  • Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 2 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors is highly preferred
  • A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
  • A strong working knowledge of InDesign as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
  • Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.
