LOCATION
REMOTE (United States-based) with occasional travel to Arlington, Virginia.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sociology, Political Science, or a related field; 5 years of strategic/tactical/media communication experience; strong research, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

The Senior Researcher/Marketing Specialist will support OCPA’s communication objectives through research, data analysis, and marketing strategy development in a remote work setting.

Summary:
This position is REMOTE (United States-based) position with occasional travel to Arlington, Virginia. The Senior Researcher/Marketing Specialist (Off-Site) will play a critical role in supporting OCPA’s communication objectives by conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and developing targeted marketing strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of research methodologies, marketing principles, and communication best practices. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Research & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research, including competitive analysis, audience segmentation, and trend analysis.
- Utilize data analysis tools to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (e.g., social media, website analytics, surveys, public opinion polls).
- Develop and maintain research databases and reports.
- Conduct primary research, such as surveys and interviews, as needed.

Marketing Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., social media, email, digital advertising).
- Analyze campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and build brand loyalty.
- Stay abreast of current marketing trends and technologies.

Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate research findings and marketing strategies effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members, including graphic designers, writers, and communications specialists.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings and campaign results.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sociology, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of demonstrated strategic/tactical/media communication level experience within the last 10 years.

- Research: Strong research and analytical skills; Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) is a plus.
- Marketing: Strong understanding of marketing principles, including segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
