SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead PR initiatives, enhance media relationships, and communicate IQAir's vision for cleaner air across multiple channels.
For over 60 years, IQAir has been a leader in improving indoor air quality in residential, commercial and institutional markets. IQAir’s vision is to assist people in living longer, healthier lives by providing products and services to help them breathe cleaner, healthier air. For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Public Relations Manager.
Summary
As a key member of the leadership team, the Public Relations Manager will work with senior management to develop, implement, and lead IQAir’s PR programs. The ideal candidate has a passion for, and a deep understanding of, PR and is a thought-leader in PR amid the changing media landscape.

Responsibilities
- Serves as company spokesperson and is comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
- Through research and training, develop a deep understanding of IQAir’s strategy, products and technologies to answer in depth questions
- Create training documentation for department using videos, documentation, and check list to onboard and maintain team policies and procedures
- Develop objectives and strategies, and manage the implementation of PR programs and initiatives
- Develop PR plans and timelines, write press releases, blogs, and other PR deliverables
- Management and implementation of strategic partnerships, including corporate philanthropic donations and sponsorships
- Establish and manage social media strategies for company and CEO
- Manage analyst, media and blogger relations on behalf of IQAir
- Pitch, secure, and coordinate interviews with executive leadership and subject matter experts
- Oversee editorial dashboard (IQAir product) onboarding for journalists
- Monitor competitive news and recommend competitive strategies
- Manage messaging and positioning strategies
- Draft executive communications, speeches, and business presentations
- Conduct media training
- Accurately forecast budgets and manage a team of direct reports and agency resources
- Pitch and secure new clients for the company
- Coordinate historical data inquires, including database retrieval of archived air quality data
- Coordinate and plan company-sponsored events and logistics, and travel as necessary
- Pitch and secure company media placements and product reviews
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
- Minimum ten years’ experience; preferably as a PR executive inside a large consumer goods leader or as a senior executive of a PR agency
- Established relationships with journalists, particularly consumer product media, bloggers, and business press
- Proven results with highly strategic corporate PR initiatives
- Experience with executive communications, consumer product marketing, and as a spokesperson
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated initiative, solid judgment and creativity
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong presentation skills
- A customer service orientation to ensure company exceeds customer and media expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field is required
- Master’s degree in communications or MBA is desirable
- Superior knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $115,000 and most new hires start at $115,000.
