As a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, you will generate awareness and support for Canine Companions, working with staff and stakeholders to achieve the organization's goals through effective marketing and communication strategies.

- Canine Early Care Team Member
As a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, you will be an integral member of our team as you generate public awareness and support for Canine Companions. You will work closely with regional and national staff and stakeholders, to develop and implement strategic public relations and marketing plans to achieve the organizations goals and objectives.
A typical day as a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator may include:

Public Relations:
- Implementing the annual regional media plan including broadcast, online and print targets
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with local and regional media contacts
- Working with regional staff to coordinate participation of stakeholders in public relations activities
- Acting as a spokesperson for Canine Companions
- Marketing:
- Managing the preparation and distribution of communication pieces including: direct mail, newsletter content, graduation and event materials, e-communications
- Maintaining inventory of marketing materials
- Incorporating and promoting cause marketing objectives into annual communication plans

Website/ Social Media:
- Creating stories and content for website and social media channels
- Promote and document regional events, through taking photographs and writing articles

Special Events:
- Providing publicity support for regional special events, volunteer groups and recruitment programs
- Coordinating production and distribution of all event collateral
- Ensuring the website includes up to date event information
- Coordinating videosand photography for use at graduation ceremonies and other special events

- Previous public relations, marketing and/ or journalism experience
- Public speaking experience

SCHEDULE:
Full Time
RATE OF PAY: $28.00-$30.00/hour
The base salary range above represents the low and high of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of total compensation package for employees.
