Seeking a Public Relations Specialist to enhance brand awareness, develop relationships with media professionals, and leverage digital media to amplify the brand story.

DESCRIPTION

We seek a skilled individual to join our PR team as a Public Relations Specialist. The successful candidate should have experience in both public relations and project management, with the ability to develop and maintain important relationships with media professionals, find press opportunities, and leverage our brand story across the ever-expanding digital media landscape. Our preferred candidate has great communication skills, exemplary storytelling abilities, and a keen sense of social media strategy. The candidate will develop and portray our brand's messages by working closely with influencer channels, targeted media and various internal departments. The candidate must demonstrate a strong proactive approach to increasing brand reach to media outlets, stakeholders, patients, and our varied audiences. This role will uphold our corporate image and amplify our brand story while increasing overall brand awareness.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Draft press releases, pitches, case studies, white papers, and media summaries
  • Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contact
  • Campaign development and execution, including strategy, creative ideation and influencer marketing
  • Manage media requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Pitch story ideas and content to media
  • Ensure all communication is cohesive with the brand image
  • Track and analyze media coverage to inform future campaigns
  • Measure PR program impacts using regular reporting
  • Monitor news coverage, social media sentiments and provide reports + guidance to clients as needed
  • Organize, schedule, and prepare patients/staff for press interviews
  • Build and maintain targeted media lists, and nurture relationships with key reporters
  • Build relationships with bloggers and influencers in health, nutrition, healthy lifestyle and disease management
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and communicate insights to the PR team
  • Help to develop and recommend strategies for the brand
  • Work to organize press at press participation/interviews at conferences and marketing event
  • Edit and contribute to the newly created blog platform

QUALIFICTIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience driving and executing innovative communications strategies and tactics (Social media, PR, owned media)
  • Strong relationships with both local business and industry media outlets
  • Passion for creativity with the ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Ability to execute and measure multifaceted campaigns and day-to-day communications initiatives
  • Experience leading and/or project managing digital campaigns across social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and precise under deadlines. Must be both a big-picture strategist and have a "do-er" mentality

Pay: $63,597.00 - $70,112.00 per year
