Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Publicist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing public relations efforts, enhancing our brand image, and promoting our clients through various media channels. This role requires a strong understanding of media relations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for storytelling. As a Publicist, you will play a crucial role in shaping public perception and driving engagement through strategic outreach and compelling content.
Duties
- Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other promotional materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets.
- Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content that aligns with brand messaging.
- Conduct research to identify trends and opportunities for media coverage.
- Proofread all communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Coordinate public speaking engagements for clients, including preparation of talking points.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align PR efforts with marketing initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in public relations or related fields such as journalism or communications.
- Strong skills in media relations with a track record of securing press coverage.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation across various platforms.
- Excellent proofreading abilities with attention to detail in written communication.
- Familiarity with research techniques to support PR strategies and campaigns.
- Experience in public speaking or preparing clients for interviews is highly desirable.
- A creative mindset with the ability to think strategically about brand positioning.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30,254.00 - $42,827.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
