Seeking a self-motivated Publicity Manager to drive digital publicity and marketing efforts, focusing on influencer collaborations and social media strategies for film and series campaigns.
Our client, the world’s leading entertainment streaming service, is looking for a Publicity Manager. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will be well-versed in digital publicity and marketing, entertainment partnerships, and social media and have experience working closely with influencers.
This is a hybrid 7.5-month contract based in Los Angeles or New York. The candidate must be in the US and not hold an H1B Visa status. The hourly rate is $153.85 per hour. Benefits are available through Talent Table. There is no C2C.
The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic professional with expertise in digital partnerships, social media, and influencer collaboration. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and highly organized, thriving in fast-paced environments. They are strategic thinkers who excel at managing multiple priorities, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and bringing big, innovative ideas to the table. Strong communication skills, good judgment, and a positive attitude are essential. In this role, you will develop and execute digital initiatives for film and series campaigns, such as Instagram takeovers, Reddit AMAs, and IMDb talent interviews, while building and nurturing relationships with digital partners, social apps, platforms, and influencers. You’ll lead strategy and work on management across titles, ensuring alignment with teams in publicity, marketing, multicultural, social, and brand partnerships. Additionally, you’ll pitch and secure impactful digital opportunities, present strategies and results to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Seek out innovative earned media opportunities with entertainment and social partners, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Meta , and other social-based platforms.
- Work in tandem with publicity teams to establish specific goals related to talent and filmmaker/showrunner interests.
- Provide consultation for digital press pitching and campaign strategies, including support for screening invites, press days and junkets, specialty events, and more.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including Creative Marketing, Social, Marketing Partnerships, Events, and Regional to create, communicate, and implement best practices and workflow for campaigns.
- Curate, expand and develop relationships with entertainment partners and digital influencers for campaign activations and events.
- Contribute to campaign decks and present to senior-level executives, showrunners/filmmakers, and talent.
- Work closely with digital publicity cohorts on larger initiatives throughout the year skills.
Skills and Requirements:
- 8+ years experience at a network, agency, or studio, preferably in digitally-oriented positions.
- Experience handling a high volume of complex projects and tasks for multiple people or departments and simultaneously managing competing priorities.
- Existing relationships with entertainment partners, social media platforms, and content creators.
- Ability to identify, develop, and help refine compelling and creative ideas. Seek out opportunities that are unique and that serve the business and the brand.
- Must possess solid organizational skills and be able to manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with internal and external teams.
- Proven track record in creating activations in line with current trends in entertainment, digital, marketing, social media, and pop culture.
