Seeking a Quantitative Analyst to drive business growth by leading research projects, providing analytical insights, and engaging directly with clients in various industries.
Magid is seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for driving business growth to become a part of our Quantitative Research Team. The team provides insight and consulting solutions to media companies both global and local.
The Quantitative Analyst will play a key part of research project delivery across all aspects of the work. This role provides an opportunity to lead projects using a variety of research methods and analytic techniques, and work directly with clients on important, strategic engagements. This is an opportunity to demonstrate analytic skills, operational excellence, and project management, with upside in professional and career growth as our team expands. Responsibilities include project management and team communication, client management and communication, questionnaire design, overseeing programming and the sample process, monitoring fieldwork, analysis/reporting, and ensuring quality control throughout the entire process.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Key responsibilities will include:
Client Relationship and Project Management
- Lead smaller client projects (with oversight of SVP) including client communication, coordination with the Business Development Lead, QRE design and execution, needed analytics, and creation and presentation of deliverables
- Support SVPs in larger and more complex projects
- Maintain and update project records (e.g., questionnaire versions, timelines, specification changes, etc.)
- Ensure quality standards are being met at every phase in the project
- Proactively participate in team meetings, and lead internal project management-related calls
- Proactively participate in client meetings, and help to facilitate client discussions
- Identify and provide recommendations to improve project efficiencies
Communication
- Proactively communicate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate project execution, status and ensure project specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met
- Integrate feedback from the team and provide feedback when appropriate across project phases
- Provide initial recommendations for solutions when problems occur re: project execution
Questionnaire/Programming
- Primary role in questionnaire development (e.g., writing questions/logic, mindful of flow and bias)
- Facilitate questionnaire revisions and feedback from clients
- Facilitate kick-off call with programmers to review survey flow, logic, and quota requirements
- Test programmed questionnaires, update as needed, and manage feedback to programming team
- Provide final approval to programmers after ensuring quality standards are met
Sample/Data Collection
- Recommend sample sizes and screening criteria for research
- Coordinate sample needs and fieldwork schedule with internal operations team
- Other specifics include reviewing sample-related quotas for accuracy, coordinating client sample, performing quality checks on soft-launch data, and working with the ops team throughout fieldwork to ensure targets are met, costs are in-line, and timelines are met
- Provide final approval to clients, programmers, and sample providers on full launch
Data Preparation
- Develop detailed data crosstab specifications (e.g., table details, banner points, stat testing, etc.)
- Manage crosstab development
- Perform quality checks on crosstabs
- Utilize data application tools such as SPSS, Excel, Q and DisplayR to interact with data
- Perform intermediate statistical analysis on data (e.g., frequencies, means, stat testing, etc.)
- Understand project-related analytics and how data should be prepared/provided for analysis
Analysis/Reporting
- Create client reports (e.g., create template, build charts, input data, write headlines, etc.)
- Utilize software to create visuals/data views for reports on relevant projects
- Conduct accurate and effective data analyses considering key client/project objectives
- Update reports based on feedback received from team or clients
- Perform quality checks on report content (e.g., data, text, etc.)
- Lead the development of actionable recommendations for the client
- Participate in the presentation of results to clients
Other
- Assist in the development of junior-level team members by mentoring and partnering on projects
- Stay current on trends and developments in market research and client-related industries
- Assist in other areas as needed (e.g., proposals, formatting reports, etc.)

What you’ll get:
The target base salary for this role is $115,000 annualized. Exact salary will depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications.
