Seeking a motivated Real Estate Marketing Specialist to prepare appraisal documents, ensure compliance, and provide excellent customer service while supporting the appraisal process for Austin Bank.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Loan Personnel and Appraisers/Evaluators to prepare documents and review appraisals in a timely manner.
  • mployee is responsible for understanding/comply with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, most specifically Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) as it relates to specific job functions.
  • Exhibits superior customer service as an Austin Bank team member. Demonstrates high quality relationship building techniques to ensure the customer receives the best possible solution to his banking and financial needs. Helps promote a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin bank.
  • Participates in developing a teamwork atmosphere with co-workers as part of department or branch location by attending meetings, participating in discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and contributing to departmental goals.
  • Has a responsibility to stay abreast of company communications by reading publications, announcements and company e-mails, etc.
  • Takes advantage of appropriate communication channels regarding bank-related business matters.
  • Develop personal skills and capabilities through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.
  • Uphold and safeguard the organizations values particularly relating to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality both internally and externally.
  • Assist Appraisal Manager and Department in maintaining appraisal/appraiser independence.
  • Assist with and coordinate as required in: reviewing and maintaining appraisal logs, receiving lender request, identifying & determining appropriate type report/value/review to be ordered.
  • Requests additional information, if needed, for the order if it is not provided with the original request.
  • Requests fee and turnaround time from appraiser/evaluator.
  • Review and prepare engagement and engage an approved appraiser per Austin Bank policy, appraiser communication, lender confirmation, prepare review form upon appraisal delivery, coordinate revisions as may be required, distribute appraisal, review, invoice etc. as required per AD procedures.
  • Review appraisal reports and prepare an appropriate review prior to loan closing.
  • Regulatory knowledge – must be able to understand, interpret, and apply federal regulations and internal credit policies related to reviewing of appraisals and evaluations.
  • Review appraisal reports for sufficient data and discussion of the analytical process to understand the conclusion of the report.
  • Review income analysis for appropriate deductions and discounts, verify mathematical calculations for correctness.
  • Look for obvious inconsistencies and errors throughout the appraisal report.
  • Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Communicate with appraisers and various areas of the bank.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets to track orders for in-house, secondary market appraisals, and evaluations.
  • Monitors and checks the status of past-due appraisals and evaluations.
  • Review a sample of all evaluations quarterly.
  • Maintains established department and Bank policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, community involvement and in-service meetings, etc.
  • Uses professionalism, courtesy, and tact in working with Bank personnel.
  • Reports to work regularly and promptly.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
