QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental science, natural resources, marketing, or a related field, and one year of experience in solid waste management or recycling outreach. Equivalent combinations of training and experience are acceptable. A valid North Carolina driver’s license is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development and implementation of education and outreach programs related to recycling and composting. Promote proper waste management practices and coordinate educational services for county departments and residents. Publicize recycling and waste reduction activities.

General Description
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Research and Data Manager with considerable leeway for independent judgement within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work. Supervision over others is not required of this position.
