As the Regional Director of Charter Operations, lead the charter transportation division, focusing on strategic growth, customer relationships, and team motivation to drive operational success.

Van Pool Transportation LLCAs the Regional Director of Charter Operations, you will be responsible
for providing strategic leadership and direction for the charter transportation division of our organization. This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader who can inspire and motivate teams, build strong customer relationships, establish strategic direction, drive and navigate change, and communicate persuasively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Management & Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

  • Collaborate with the Regional SVP of operations and other national or regional stakeholders to develop and achieve the annual Charter revenue budget.

  • Manage to and reach or exceed business targets assigned to the region. Develop, execute, and oversee strategies and plans to achieve set business targets.

  • Collaborate with national and regional stakeholders to identify and develop new markets and accounts.

  • Provide direction and guidance to regional staff in support of commercial charter and motor coach operations (matrix relationship).

  • Ensure charter pricing is aligned with market dynamics to achieve budget.

  • Coordinate the regional commercial charter Digital Strategy including social media, email, and other digital marketing.

2. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic direction for the charter transportation division in alignment with the overall organizational goals.

  • Support development of regional process development.

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability in charter transportation services.

3. Team Inspiration and Motivation:

  • Foster a positive and high-performance culture within the charter transportation team.

  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to the overall success of the division.

  • Develop the sales skills of charter operations team and set individual sales goals within assigned territories.

4. Change Management:

  • Drive and lead organizational change initiatives to adapt to evolving industry trends, technology advancements, and customer expectations.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure smooth transitions during periods of change.

5. Communication:

  • Act as a persuasive and engaging communicator, both internally and externally, to articulate the division's vision, goals, and value proposition.

  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including employees, customers, and executive leadership.

5. Technology and Systems Proficiency:

  • Competent with Microsoft Office products, especially Teams, Excel & PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of pricing strategies and ability to implement and work with charter systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, transportation management, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the transportation industry.

  • Strong understanding of charter transportation operations, regulations, and industry trends preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals, driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc) and transportation related software.

Salary range: $95,000-$120,000 plus commission
