QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of sales experience with direct specifier interaction, preferred Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational and time management skills, and exceptional communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage sales for the assigned region, develop sales plans, maintain communication with local sales reps, provide market insights, submit weekly updates to the VP of Sales, and work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Regional Specification Sales Manager will focus on maintaining and growing sales, building brand awareness in the specification market, and ensuring customer satisfaction while working closely with a network of sales representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Geographical responsibility of assigned sales region.
- Responsible for setting the sales plan for the assigned sales region –managing our independent sales force in a specific Region. As part of this plan, this individual is responsible in assisting the development of programs and marketing/selling materials that address specifier channel.
- Gatekeeper for all requested information from the sales region. This information includes anything pertinent and needed to be relayed back to the corporate office. An example might be defective product, quality issues etc.
- When traveling within sales region, RSSM is expected to work with our local sales reps to develop strong working relationships with specifiers, and distributors to close opportunities. To assist sales reps in securing information requested. Communication with local sales reps before territory trips is essential to guarantee most effective and productive use of time.
- Develop/recommend new channel access based on changing specifying and buying changes evolving in the marketplace.
- Works closely with area representation and inside sales to forecast for scale opportunities based on closure probability and provides regular updates on open project opportunities.
- Regular phone and email contact to update the VP of Sales as to current issues of importance and strategize on solutions to problems.
- Submit weekly recap to VP of Sales on Friday of each week. This recap will address what transpired during the week, your travel schedule, any issues to be addressed and opportunities defined. Recommend ways for VCC to improve our customer satisfaction including product suggestions, ways to streamline reports, etc.
- Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
- Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule.
- While being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.

- 5 years of previous experience in Sales or related field with direct specifier interaction.
- Bachelor’s Degree (from a school accredited by the U.S. Department of Education) preferred, Business related field. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
- Must exhibit proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and outlook.
- Experience in the lighting industry a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager.
- Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone.
- Strong customer service approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with persistent follow-up skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and prior experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
- Strong sales mentality, with a focus on growing revenue while maintaining the balance with company profitability objectives.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships both internally and externally. High comfort level multi-tasking and working across departments (team player).
- Strong math skills, including the ability to manage and understand the financial impact of various sales programs.
- Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments, and interruptions with accuracy.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate in English verbally and in writing and to read and understand materials printed in English.
- Capacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or direction. Must be well-organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize workload.
