LOCATION

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two years of experience in a store setting, experience with retail/restaurant POS systems, and strong customer service abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist customers, handle cash and credit transactions, manage inventory, maintain cleanliness of retail space, create sales reports, handle customer complaints, and perform various administrative tasks as assigned.

The Retail Store Clerk is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, managing sales transactions, maintaining inventory, and performing administrative duties within the retail store.

Overall Objectives of Position
The Retail Store Clerk assists with the day-to-day operations of the retail sales and helps customers to have a great shopping experience. The Retail Store Clerk is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet goals and objectives for the retail store. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Retail Store Clerk is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goal and objectives of applicable programs.
The Retail Store Clerk is expected to live the Purpose and Values of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and will go beyond the call of duty.
Primary Responsibilities of the Retail Store Clerk
- Greets visitors and projects a positive image to the general public and Tribal Community
- Assists visitors in shopping process and dissemination of information.
- Performs varying tasks; cash handling, check authorization, credit card purchases, faxing, and copying.
- Assists in monitoring, purchasing, and replenishment of shop inventory.
- Assists with the monitoring of retail space to ensure that it is clean, in order, and well maintained.
- Replenishes merchandise in display coolers and ensures the coolers are fully stocked.
- Manages customer’s complaints.
- Creates and updates customer profiles.
- Performs various other administrative duties including creating sales reports, sales orders, purchase orders, inventory reports.
- Prepares and files custom processing worksheets.
- Prepares daily closing sales reports and deposit statements.
- Serves as back up to plant coordinator.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.

Education/License/Certification and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a store setting.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of working with retail stores and/or beef sales.
- Experience using retail/restaurant POS systems required.

- Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and writing composition. Must successfully pass applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities exam.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a Windows environment with various software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Must be well organized and possesses attention to details.
- Skilled and mature in making valid judgements, demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Able to work well independently and to relate effectively with the public.
- Ability to work in a high performance, fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Most love and relate well with children of various ages while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, and twist for an extended period as well as climb, lift, hold and move objects weighing up to fifty pounds.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours including weekends, as needed.
- Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
