SHORT DESCRIPTION

Sales role focused on lead generation and customer consultations in roofing, involving project management support, relationship building, and sales reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
  • Identify and pursue new leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, referrals, online marketing, and attending industry events.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and follow up regularly to generate new business.
  • Customer Consultations:
  • Meet with homeowners, business owners, or contractors to assess their roofing needs.
  • Provide on-site evaluations and inspections to determine the extent of damage, required repairs, or new roof installations.
  • Educate clients on available roofing products, materials, and services.
  • Sales Presentations:
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and features of roofing options.
  • Explain pricing models and financing options to customers.
  • Customize proposals based on the client's budget, needs, and specifications.
  • Estimates and Proposals:
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for roofing projects, factoring in labor, materials, and other expenses.
  • Present written proposals and contracts, ensuring clear communication of terms and conditions.
  • Negotiation & Closing Sales:
  • Negotiate terms of sale and close deals with potential customers.
  • Address any concerns or objections from clients to secure the sale.
  • Finalize contracts and ensure all details are confirmed before the project begins.
  • Project Management Support:
  • Coordinate with project managers and the roofing team to ensure smooth execution of the roofing projects.
  • Ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and the roofing team, addressing any issues that arise during the project.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after project completion to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and surveys to ensure clients are satisfied with their roofing services.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, roofing materials, and pricing strategies.
  • Research competitor offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement in sales techniques.
  • Sales Reporting & Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
  • Report on sales performance and pipeline progress to management regularly.
  • Track sales goals and performance metrics to meet or exceed set targets.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all sales and project practices comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Advise clients on safety precautions and best practices for maintaining their roofs.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
  • Attend team meetings to discuss sales strategies and share feedback from clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of roofing products, materials, and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess roofing needs and provide accurate estimates.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales leads and follow-ups efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
  • Prior sales experience in the roofing or construction industry preferred.
