Sales & Marketing Coordinator Position

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator at OMCO SUMO is a critical organizational role designed to maximize and streamline sales processes and execute marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position will require an individual who is highly organized, professional, and capable of fostering positive relationships with both internal teams and customers. This role is central to maintaining operational efficiency while upholding OMCO SUMO's reputation for customer service excellence and sustainability practices.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing and engaging, possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams, while contributing positively to company culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the CRM champion, ensuring accurate tracking and organization of customer data, communication, and sales activity within the CRM system.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, promptly resolving issues and providing timely updates to ensure satisfaction.
  • Process and manage sales orders from initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy with respect to established formulas, adherence to timelines, and meeting customer commitments.
  • Request costing information from a global network of OMCO suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely responses to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and sales teams to provide accurate and timely estimates, ensuring alignment with customer needs and product specifications.
  • Prepare meticulous sales proposals, ensuring clarity and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Actively follow up with customers to drive sales, ensure satisfaction, and encourage reorder.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and external marketing team to execute and track email marketing campaigns and social media promotions across multiple platforms.
  • Generate new business leads through proactive outreach and market research.
  • Partner with Amazon marketing specialists to explore and expand B2C opportunities.
  • Coordinate participation in relevant trade shows (1-3 annually).
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and processes that optimize customer engagement and support long-term growth.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, analyzing trends, and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, offering insights and suggestions for improving sales and marketing processes and customer interactions.
  • Ensure all sales documentation is completed accurately and on time, maintaining a professional standard of communication and record-keeping.
  • Cross-train with and assist the Logistics Manager as needed, ensuring continuity of service in the event of absence or increased demand.

Prerequisites for Employment:

  • Significant and relevant experience in customer service, sales, and/or marketing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Advanced understanding of sales principles and processes, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles in a B2B environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM Software (e.g., Dynamics, Hubspot, Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work, including order processing and documentation.
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle competing demands in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Proven track record of supporting cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with colleagues across various departments (Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Logistics).
  • Commitment to sustainability and ESG goals, understanding OMCO SUMO’s mission and values, and acting in alignment with these principles in all interactions.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial sales preferred.
  • Experience with international sales or export processes is a plus, given the global nature of the business.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (e.g., Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics) beneficial.

Pay: $62,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
