SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Sales and Marketing Manager will drive growth for Taiyo America by developing strategies, leading a high-performing team, managing sales and marketing activities, and enhancing brand presence to achieve revenue targets.

Taiyo is the world leader in solder mask products. Taiyo America, Inc. is a manufacturing subsidiary of Taiyo Holdings Co., Ltd. Taiyo America has propelled itself into the latest technologies and trends and continues to use its extensive worldwide R&D resources to further offerings and capabilities that include the latest in inkjet technology for legend ink. Taiyo offers specialty dielectric inks and via filling inks for use with microvia and build-up technologies, as well as thermal-cure and UV-cure solder masks and Inkjet and Packaging inks. New product offerings include dielectric and conductive ink products for the printed electronics, and lighting and displays markets. Future development products for new Automotive Applications such as EV and Autonomous Driving, Robotics, Next Generation Data Centers, VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), and AI (Artificial Intelligence) markets.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales and Marketing Manager will oversee all sales and marketing activities to drive the organization’s growth and align with Taiyo America’s corporate objectives. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, leading a high-performing team, and fostering strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. The manager will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue targets, enhancing brand presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives and promote future growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Set sales and marketing goals, track performance, and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Team Management
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new sales and marketing team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to employees to build skills and improve performance.
  • Plan, assign, and direct team tasks and projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, recognize achievements, and implement improvement plans when necessary.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.
  • Sales Management
  • Lead sales efforts, including prospecting, account management, and negotiations to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Develop pricing strategies, sales promotions, and incentive programs to drive growth.
  • Marketing Management
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Manage digital and traditional marketing channels, including social media, email, trade shows, and advertising.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content and promotional materials.
  • Analyze marketing metrics to measure campaign success and optimize strategies.
  • Problem Resolution
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and resolve internal operational challenges within the sales and marketing functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing management, preferably in a B2B or industrial setting.
  • 10 years’ work experience in the PCB industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the chemistry of LPI solder masks is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Working knowledge of the overall process for printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to maintain valid driver’s license.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional weekend or overtime work.
  • Travel, possibly up to 10-25% of time, is required.
