Koelnmesse Inc. is the North American Chicago-based subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, one of the world's leading organizers of industry trade shows. We are growing our portfolio of trade shows here in the U. S. and internationally and therefore need extra support selling the eventsin the US and Canada. Our show portfolio covers industries such as video games, food and food technology, confectionery, pools and spas, sports facilities, motorbikes, and dental equipment, with events taking place in Germany, Dubai, Singapore, China, India, Italy, Colombia, Brazil and Saudi Arabia.
Job Description:
We're looking for a full-time Sales Executive with knowledge of sales, preferably also trade shows, events and exhibit space sales.. You will mainly be handling exhibit sales, project management and marketing and will be working closely with the sales managers and our operations team. Occasionally domestic travel is required. The position reports directly to the relevant Sales Manager.
This full-time position includes full benefits, 401K and a generous vacation package.
Qualifications:
We're looking for candidates with competency in the following areas of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree
- Working knowledge of marketing and sales, preferably exhibit space sales (min. 2 years)
- Working knowledge of trade shows and events
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Attention to details and deadlines
- Creative, motivated, and independent self-starter
- A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced small-team environment
- Excellent team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contact management software (Hubspot), preferred
- Occasional travel may be required
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting – partly in our office in Chicago and partly remotely.
