Smartville is seeking a results-oriented Sales Associate to drive revenue growth by building relationships in the electric vehicle and energy storage sectors. Join a dynamic team committed to sustainability and innovation.
The Role: Smartville is seeking a passionate and driven Sales Associate to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented sales professional with experience in the electric vehicle, recycling/dismantling, or energy storage sectors. This role will focus on identifying and building relationships with potential clients, showcasing Smartville’s innovative battery energy storage solutions, and driving revenue growth. Strong preference for candidates located in or willing to work on site/hybrid in North County San Diego.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation/Qualification & Business Development: Identify, engage, and build a pipeline of high-potential clients in the electric vehicle, recycling/dismantling, and energy storage markets.
- Consultative Sales: Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and position Smartville’s products as tailored/differentiated solutions.
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and uncover upsell opportunities.
- Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of Smartville’s product offerings and communicate their benefits and applications effectively.

Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within electric vehicle, battery energy storage, recycling, or renewable energy markets.
- Demonstrated consultative sales skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to understand technical aspects of energy storage and recycling solutions and explain them to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) and sales analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-growing company.
- Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and balancing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory frameworks in EV batteries, recycling, and energy storage systems.
