We are seeking a Motivated Sales Consultant to drive business development for our Superior Fence team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, exceeding customer needs and expectations, and solving challenges throughout the sales process and installation phase. This is a 100% commission-based position, where your earnings are directly tied to your performance and success. No cold calling is required—leads are provided through online marketing, social media, referrals, and partnerships with home builders and general contractors. Additionally, no hard selling is necessary, as our customers are prequalified and ready to make a purchase.
The territory for this role includes Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, and Lehigh counties. Therefore, candidates should reside within the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Our skilled crews specialize in constructing various types of fences, including vinyl, wood, aluminum, and chain-link, serving both residential and commercial customers. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the flexibility to adjust hours to accommodate evening and weekend appointments that align with your sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Learn the fencing products and services offered, including the sales terms (e.g. special features, installation, and warranty policies)
- Learn and adopt Superior Fence & Rail's structured selling process and complete required training
- Present and sell the features and benefits of Superior Fence & Rail products
- Pursue appointments and sales through supplied, active lead system
- Prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up
- Set and maintain the required number of appointments to meet and exceed sales goals
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in outside sales or customer-facing direct sales roles.
- Proven comfort and effectiveness in conducting in-home sales presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong presentation abilities and active listening skills to understand customer needs.
- A respectful and professional demeanor, with the ability to earn trust and respect from both colleagues and supervisors.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while visiting job sites or client locations.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., samples, promotional materials, or light equipment).
- Ability to climb stairs, walk on uneven terrain, and occasionally navigate active construction sites.
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment (computer, phone, tablet).
- Ability to drive and travel locally to job sites, client meetings, and company locations.
- Visual acuity for reading documents, viewing screens, and assessing job sites.
