Sales Development Intern
LOCATION
Fully remote, with occasional travel to the office for team meetings and events in the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Enthusiasm for learning SaaS sales practices, familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce), good communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
An internship role focused on phone sales, market research, and project management within the sales division, concluding with a final presentation to upper management.
This position sits within our Sales division and is the front-line point of contact for identifying, matching, and selling prospects the appropriate solutions from our software portfolio.
The Opportunity
The goal of this internship is to provide hands-on experience in phone sales, market research, and project management. Interns will develop skills in prospecting, qualifying demos, and assisting with marketing campaigns. By working with Sales Development Representatives and outbound managers, they will gain a strong understanding of the sales process. The program concludes with a final presentation, where interns will showcase their research and sales insights to upper management and academic advisors, preparing them for professional roles and public speaking.
Responsibilities:What You’ll Be Doing
- Gain a strong understanding of the sale process.
- Hands on experience with phone sales while developing prospecting skills.
- Set qualified appointments for the Account Executives and enter information in Salesforce.com CRM
- Cold calling from lists provided, targeted accounts, follow up to outbound marketing campaigns and responses to campaigns, and work independently to seek out prospects best suited to meet the team objective
- Document all activity, calls, and work results in the company’s CRM
- Recognize and alert manager of trends in prospect/customer calls
- Research Construction Market trends to provide data for email marketing. Find trends, changes, and learn more about trades. Create a report on the findings.
- Create and present a final Presentation to Business Development leadership.

- An enthusiasm for learning real-world Software SaaS Sales practices.
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) would be an asset
- Familiarity with consultative and value selling, multiple sales techniques to include cold calling
- Thrive in a fast paced, changing environment
- Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
- This position is fully remote with only occasional travel to the office for team meetings and events. Team members are expected to have an established workspace.
- Ability to work remotely in the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
