As a Sales and Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our swim lessons by training, managing and motivating a successful team, coordinating and reviewing class schedules and ensuring you have a school that’s set up for success at every lesson. You will specialize in business growth by using your sales experience to achieve both new membership and member retention goals. Most importantly, you will nurture a culture that supports Goldfish Swim School’s core values by going above and beyond to create an every day golden experience.

O-fish-ial Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing and scheduling, customer service, member enrollment and swim lesson operations.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

• Understand and lead the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to Goldfish Swim School’s standard operating procedures, working alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members to ensure member satisfaction, taking escalated issues and member feedback and finding a solution with a positive result
• Drive membership sales and coach member experience representatives on how to provide WOW! Customer service to increase member retention rates
• Work with your team to develop and execute sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual membership and enrollment goals and any subsequent goals intended to measure success
• Create and implement a plan of action if quarterly and annual goals are off track
• Create a workplace that provides fundamental job and life skills for those looking to expand their careers
• Provide a positive staff culture from day 1 and offer open, honest communication in a positive and nurturing environment.
• Gain high level competency in the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and onboard, train and provide continuing feedback to your team of swim instructors, lifeguards and deck supervisors
Schedule and lead training workshops and meetings to provide continuing education and reinforcement of best practices for your team of swim instructors, lifeguards and deck supervisors and member experience representatives

What else do you need to know?

• This position earns a base rate of $22 per hour with a bonus structure that is based around monthly, quarterly and annual enrollment, sales and service and pool operations goals
• Everyone in our building is lifeguard CPR & AED certified, so you must be able to pass a basic swim test (50 yards) to earn your certification.
• All management team members will obtain their Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
• You may be required to receive your Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) Certification through J Ellis & Associates and teach scheduled lifeguarding courses to certify new Goldfish Swim School employees
• You will oversee our Member Experience Representatives in their usage of CRM software, Salesforce, to contact online inquiries and leads
• You will direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures for the school
• We require schedule availability that includes some weekday evenings (until 8:30pm) and at least one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shift per workweek.
