Seeking a Sales Manager for Holman Lincoln to drive the used car department's success, ensuring compliance, managing inventory, and fostering a supportive sales environment.

Holman Lincoln is looking for a Sales Manager to join the Holman Family
Job Duties
- Set goals and objectives for the used car department and establish a strategy to achieve them.
- Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions to make strategic decisions for the used car department.
- Ensure all used vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as the requirement for Buyer’s Guide, Sale Price stickers, and recall updates.
- Oversee the pricing and re-pricing of all pre-owned vehicles according to market value and dealership standards; monitor the aging of inventory and enforce a 45 to 60-day turn policy.
- Collaborate with the General Manager/General Sales Manager to identify opportunities for marketing used vehicles.
- Provide support to salespeople in closing deals and increasing used car gross.
- Oversee the reconditioning process for used vehicles to ensure all vehicles are in excellent condition for sale.
- Supervise the performance and duties of the assistant used car manager, salespeople, lot attendants, service vendors, and other team members.
- Ensure that the delivery of vehicles to customers meets dealership standards for quality and satisfaction.
- Perform thorough vehicle appraisal utilizing resources such as MMR, V-AUTO, CarFax, CarData, and AutoCheck to determine the value of the vehicle
- Maintain regular communication with the General Manager/General Sales Manager and other senior management regarding sales performance and inventory levels.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Experience with automotive sales software, market analysis tools, and other relevant technologies preferred
- Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise with MMR, V-AUTO, CarFax, CarData, and AutoCheck
Relevant Work Experience:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in automotive sales, including 2+ at a leadership level
- Prior experience in used car sales management preferred but not required
- Familiarity with used car operations, inventory management, reconditioning processes, and/or compliance with regulations
- Complete understanding of CRM processes and desking tools
- Experience with local DMV regulations and motor vehicle laws
- Breadth and depth of technical or functional expertise in own area of responsibility or department; may be acquiring knowledge of other related areas of departments
- Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $97,450.00 - $141,300.00 USD annually for full time employees.
