SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Sales Manager for a growing commercial electrical contracting company with a focus on LED lighting sales, offering a flexible and dynamic work environment.
I am hoping YOU have been putting off finding that new dream job until after the holidays. I have a ton of hope for the new year and here it is…
I hope that you aren’t in love with big corporation processes and politics and unrealistic expectations of how much you can do with the corporate tools you are given.
I hope you loathe virtual interviews and impersonal computerized application processes. And you just send me your resume with a cover letter/email. Sorry it has to go to a generic/relay email address, I don’t want mine hacked or phished again.
I hope you hate disappointing customers because your company doesn’t support you in making it happen for them. And/or possibly that you hate it when customers are mistreated because wherever you worked before was the sleezy gimmicky aggressive sales-people kind of place. Yuck.
And I really hope you get frustrated with co-workers that are just ….hummm ….average. Or worse.
I need a Sales Manager for my medium-sized commercial electrical contracting company that has a robust lighting maintenance department. You will start on day one selling LED Lighting. I have the contracts in place for 2025 and they are substantial. It is more than we can sell with the team we have now.
I hope you have an iron clad work ethic and that you would sincerely appreciate working with an A+ team but not in the get all puffed up weird jealous kind of way. I hope the idea of having (almost) unlimited opportunities to succeed makes you giddy.
I hope you have a little entrepreneur in you; that kind of hustle and innovation and self-determination that is unique. There is no glass ceiling here. There is one owner, and I am not greedy.
LED Lighting and Electrical Construction/Materials sales experience is strongly preferred but not required. Starting Salary Listed Range is offered as DOE and includes what I forecast as a realistic 2025 potential inclusive of structured bonus and/or commissions for an experienced applicant. If you don’t have much experience, we will need to be realistic about what you can expect in your first year.
You must be computer savvy. Solid computer/business software/internet skills are an absolute must. We are mostly paperless and are growing our tech capability as we grow. We can teach you our systems if you have the general tech skills to work with them.
What we can't teach you is how to be an awesome amazing human being and that is most definitely a requirement. This is not simply an expectation; it is WHO WE ARE. It makes working here fricking awesome. I will hire the right personality over the “right” experience every time.
Small private business and construction in general is fast paced, and deadline driven. The right fit person for us enjoys a busy day full of ever-changing priorities and the occasional minor project emergency that turns the day’s plan upside down for an hour or two. Handled with outward professionalism and semi-inappropriate humor behind properly closed doors.
SALARY:
It is 100% negotiable. You know what you need to make the jump. I know what you could make if you are as good as you say you are. Starting sales is $50k/year. Average is $85k/year. I don’t employ average people. Let’s talk.
