Sales and Events Manager for Sky Zone

Sales and Events Manager

Overview: This position is responsible for growing our group events business, leading or assisting with marketing initiatives and advertising (especially social media), and actually overseeing events and fundraisers. This position will periodically handle shift management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans to drive profitable revenue growth
  • Identify potential groups and qualify leads
  • Lead / conduct outbound calls and contacts to potential groups
  • Lead development of monthly promotions by partnering with management team in developing and implementing efficient revenue generating marketing programs and initiatives. Proficient use of social media content creation and posting is a big plus
  • Proficient digital marketing skills (social media content creation / posting, Google Analytics, routine website updates)
  • Handle inbound calls / inside sales opportunities
  • Train party / event hosts and manage party / event execution
  • Ensure consistent and accurate messaging and communication within the event planning team and to customers
  • Drive continuous improvements in event offering programs and execution through customer and employee feedback as well as competitive analyses
  • Lead (and occasionally support) park preparation of corporate-initiated promotions (national and/or park specific)
  • Periodically fulfill shift management responsibilities for the venue

Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning or management within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience managing and training staff on customer service skills is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Inside sales and outside sales / prospecting experience is a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to event planning.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Availability to work most weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun), days and/or evenings.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
