In person at Central Texas Stone and Aggregate in Texas, with frequent travel throughout the area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
7 years of experience in sales, preferably in aggregates, or 7 years construction experience, team leadership, native Spanish proficiency, excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong time management and critical thinking abilities.

Job Summary:
Central Texas Stone and Aggregate (CTSA) is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and expand our presence in the Texas market. The Sales Manager will be the face of CTSA to the customer, responsible for managing client relationships, developing and executing sales strategies, and mentoring a team to achieve company sales goals. This position requires travel throughout the area of responsibility and close collaboration with other departments to maintain CTSA's competitive advantage in the construction materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
- Spend approximately 20% of your time coaching and motivating team members to ensure high performance.
- Directly supervise, lead, and mentor the inside sales representative responsible for quoting and project research, and oversee scale house operators for efficient operations, focusing on their professional development and achievement of annual objectives.
Market & Sell:
- Market and sell aggregates and construction materials within the Texas market, ensuring CTSA maintains and improves its competitive position.
- Target new accounts while cultivating and expanding relationships with existing customers to drive sales growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including construction estimators, project managers and superintendents
Strategic Planning:
- Develop Market Management Plans, Customer Management Plans, and bidding strategies to support business goals.
- Review market conditions regularly, analyzing sales mix, pricing strategies, and volumes to inform business decisions.
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities across multiple lines of business in coordination with VP of sales and marketing and company President.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations and quality teams to ensure that materials meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Forecasting & Budgeting:
- Participate in the development of sales forecasts, budgeting, and setting annual sales targets.
- Report regularly on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Accounts Receivable:
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with customers and the AR department to manage accounts receivable and optimize collections.
Industry Representation:
- Represent the company within industry associations, promoting CTSA's brand and expertise in the construction materials market.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in aggregates, or 7 years construction experience (estimating/project management).
- Proven team leadership and mentoring experience.
- Native Spanish proficiency.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong time management and critical thinking abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the Central Texas region.
Work Environment:
- This role requires frequent visits to manufacturing locations, client offices, and job sites, which may involve exposure to moving machinery, inclement weather, heat, and elevated noise levels.
