Compensation & Benefits: $ 18.00-24.00 per hour

Role Overview
The Secondary Mortgage Market Analyst is responsible for completing lock and pricing review request queues submitted by operations staff as well as internal and external loan officers. This person is expected to carefully review and evaluate each request. The task will include completing the updates in the loan record, re-price loan using historical pricing tool, update the lock record, and checking the loan changes against guidelines for eligibility purposes. The Secondary Market Analyst will maintain an understanding of each channel's specific lock policies and have basic product knowledge.
Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:
- Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Monitors Lock Desk shared email in-box;
- Answers Lock Desk Call Center inquires
- Modifies lock and re-prices loan after initial lock
- Complete the updates in loan records
- Re-price loans using historical pricing tool and update lock record
- Check the loan changes against guidelines for eligibility purposes
- Completes rate lock renegotiations, lock extensions, and final price check
- Locks loan with investor and secures lock confirmation
- Generates the lock confirmation
- Pricing and eligibility validations due to loan characteristic changes
- Provides assistance to internal Operations staff as well as internal and external Loan Officers concerning rate lock related questions;
- Administers all secondary market duties that aid in selling and purchasing loans
- Complies with secondary market laws
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to, and work with confidential financial data. The employee in this position must adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Mortgage Industry
- Basic knowledge of mortgage pricing and documents including compliance
- Maintain an understanding of each clients specific lock policies
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1-3 years of related experience preferred
- Customer service oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work with a pleasant, reliable, and responsible approach
- Strong Interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Physical Requirements
- Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
- Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
