Senior Account Manager – HCP Marketing Focused

Location: Remote / Flexible (with potential travel to client sites)

We’re currently working with a leading player in the healthcare marketing space to find a Senior Account Manager with a focus on Healthcare Professional (HCP) marketing. This individual will play a critical role in shaping communications strategies, with a particular emphasis on peer-to-peer marketing , advisory boards, speaker training programs, and content development.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Strategy & Relationship Management:

  • Lead and manage relationships with clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, ensuring alignment of marketing, medical, and sales teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and present marketing strategies, including peer-to-peer marketing initiatives, speaker training programs, advisory boards, and the creation of impactful slide decks to engage healthcare professionals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with thought leaders , physician influencers, and strategic partners.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to fulfill client objectives, ensuring deliverables meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic planning for assigned accounts, including proactive account recommendations and brand planning.

Peer-to-Peer Marketing & Advisory Boards:

  • Drive the development and execution of peer-to-peer marketing strategies that foster impactful interactions between healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate and lead advisory board meetings, ensuring that key insights are captured and effectively communicated to clients.
  • Provide strategic input into the development and execution of speaker training programs, ensuring alignment with client goals and compliance requirements.

Project Leadership & Execution:

  • Oversee the development of materials, including presentations, training decks, and speaker materials, ensuring they meet regulatory and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects align with regulatory and governmental environments impacting client objectives.
  • Maintain accountability for obtaining client approvals and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Development & Client Growth:

  • Contribute to the growth of existing accounts by identifying new opportunities and presenting business proposals to clients.
  • Drive the expansion of client business by identifying additional service needs and executing strategies to meet these needs.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and present business forecasts and client strategies.

Experience & Skills Required:

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in medical communications, with a strong focus on HCP marketing. Experience in peer-to-peer marketing , thought leader engagement, or speaker training is highly desirable.
  • Candidates lacking specific peer-to-peer marketing experience but with a strong background in Healthcare Communications will also be considered.
  • Experience managing accounts generating $1M-$2M in revenue is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading complex client relationships and delivering on marketing projects within timelines and budgets.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to thought leader engagement or peer-to-peer marketing strategies.
  • Background in working within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally within an agency environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, including brand development and market access strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior leadership and clients.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, managing expectations and ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, especially in fast-paced environments.
  • Comfort in leading client-facing discussions, particularly around marketing strategies, budgets, and timelines.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare marketing, medical communications, or pharmaceutical marketing.
