What we’re looking for
SmartPath Service is an industry leading service technology platform developed to improve dealership service & parts department efficiencies and improve the guest experience. This position is responsible for the successful launch and sustainment for the SmartPath Service platform throughout the Toyota & Lexus dealer network. The successful candidate will work with Toyota and Lexus dealers and Field personnel to coordinate and manage the SmartPath dealer launch and sustainment process, from initial dealer kickoff meeting through post-launch dealer sustainment.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure a successful dealer launch by leading and facilitating remote SmartPath dealer meetings as part of the SmartPath Pre-Launch dealer activities.
- Lead and facilitate dealer training as required during SmartPath launch week, either remotely or in person.
- Promote the implementation of positive process change within the fixed operations department.
- Manage a portfolio of between 3-5 dealers at any one time through various stages of the SmartPath launch lifecycle.
- Facilitate and communicate resolution of dealership technical and systems issues with SmartPath Technical Support team.
- Communicate SmartPath program updates (e.g., new functionality, program pricing, technical issue resolution) as required to dealers and regions.
- Work with Toyota dealers and Field personnel to identify critical business metrics to measure the overall success and dealer adoption of SmartPath.
- Assist SmartPath dealers and Toyota Regions with ongoing training, change management, and process improvement activities as required.
- Serve as a SmartPath subject matter expert (SME) for SmartPath product suite.
- Learn and demonstrate mastery of new SmartPath product functionality.
- Provide timely communication and feedback to SmartPath Retail Training consultants.
- Follow up with dealers and drive completion of SmartPath launch activities to ensure adherence to SmartPath launch schedule.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience that is relevant to this position.
- Experience in a Toyota or Lexus field office or in positions at HQ with significant responsibility for dealer interaction OR Retail experience in a dealership with dealer interaction.
- Strong understanding of automotive consumer digital user experiences and user interfaces.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong record of overcoming key obstacles with stakeholder groups and handling objections to achieve win/win results.
- Strong ability to build cross functional relationships across the TMNA organization, IS, TFS, Marketing, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of tools including Office 365.
- Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing successful dealer programs.
- Knowledge of the latest digital trends and best practices in online marketing and e-commerce.
- Experience interfacing with high levels of management at TMS, TFS, field offices, and dealerships.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to plan and mange field travel, including setting itineraries and managing travel across a diverse group of dealers and geographic territories.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
Added bonus if you have
- Previous Toyota field experience and/or Dealership Retail experience.
- Strong knowledge of dealer fixed operations including customer experience, service flow, efficiency, parts department processes, etc.
- Experience in a variety of marketing disciplines at Toyota and/or Lexus that involve implementation of digital platforms.
- Experience in business process mapping and process improvement initiatives.
