Senior Art Director
LOCATION
Seattle, WA (Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office per week)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Art Director in an in-house creative team and/or agency, strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking, expertise in mobile-first digital marketing, and an understanding of channel testing and validation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Concept, design, and execute customer-facing campaigns, maintain understanding of diverse audiences, design scalable creative systems, present creative to stakeholders, partner with cross-functional teams, and research trends relevant to key audiences.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Art Director on the Creative Paid Digital team, you will create compelling digital marketing campaigns across platforms like YouTube and TikTok, focusing on cultural relevance and performance improvement.
- Concept, design and execute customer-facing campaigns with copywriters that are on-brand, highly relevant and drive continuously improving results.
- Establish and maintain a strong understanding of all aspects of audiences from the Philippines, Latin America, India and more, to ensure you are creating highly relevant creative that resonates.
- Design scalable creative systems and frameworks that are well thought out and drive scale.
- Present creative to internal stakeholders, sharing rationale or data to support your decision making.
- Partner with cross-functional peers throughout the creative process to ensure that your work delivers against stated objectives and goals.
- Work with Project Managers to ensure creative deliverables and timelines are met.
- Research and keep a pulse on trends, issues, and topics that matter most to Remitly's key audiences around the world.
- Work with external partners when needed, providing constructive feedback.
- Be a positive, joyful influence within Marketing and Remitly as a whole.
- A minimum 5 years of experience as an Art Director in an in-house creative team (and/or agency).
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and visual craft.
- Proven expertise and knowledge of best-practices for mobile-first digital marketing.
- Strong interest in understanding why creative performs in digital acquisition channels and how to make it perform even better.
- Ability to operate autonomously and manage your own workload.
- Ability to partner effectively with peers, managers and executives.
- A highly-developed instinct for balancing brand goals with performance goals.
- Ability to clearly articulate your approach/thinking and own your creative decisions
- An understanding of channel testing and validation.
- A passion for people, communication, marketing, and storytelling.
- A sensitivity and desire to understand various cultures and trends from the Philippines to India to Latin America.
- Ability to write and communicate in other languages a plus, but not a requirement.
- Lives in Seattle, WA with the ability to work in the office 2-3 days a week.
