Senior Associate, Junior Writer

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, 3 or more years of related work experience, proven writing ability in various formats, strong multitasking skills, excellent communication and storytelling skills, and experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Writer will assist with content creation across various marketing channels, including our website, media relations, social media updates, AEF Today, and other internal and external communications. This role is crucial for maintaining a steady flow of content and providing support to other team members.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write and edit content for our website, media relations, social media updates, AEF Today, and other communication channels.
- Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and messaging.
- Assist in developing content for email campaigns, developing editorial calendars and enhancing existing content.
- Support OCM staff with content-related tasks.
- Ability to work closely with various teams to ensure content consistency and alignment with overall strategy.
- Stay up to date with the latest data to ensure accuracy and relevance in all written materials.
- Conduct competitive audits to understand how competitors communicate with their customers and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Cull through outdated content to refresh and repurpose it, ensuring it remains relevant and valuable.
- Work closely with our internal teams to gather information, brainstorm ideas, and ensure content meets business objectives.
- Completes other responsibilities as assigned by the CMCO.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field required
- 3 or more years of work-related experience
- Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and concise content in various formats (op-eds, blog posts, articles, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, and storytelling skills, with a keen ear for voice and sharp attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in financial services industry a plus
