SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a marketing leader to drive brand awareness and member engagement through integrated marketing campaigns, team leadership, and collaboration across various channels to ensure growth and consistency of the CUA brand.

Salary: $82,000-$103,000 *Based on experience*

Role:

Manage creative design process for campaigns, ongoing promotion of products and services, and tactics related to targeted marketing in a timely manner. Increase member and potential member traffic through all delivery channels and increase usage of CUA products and services among existing and potential new members to achieve credit union growth goals. Maintain and promote the CUA brand.


Essentials Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels to promote CUA’s brand, products, and services through targeted marketing efforts. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness, acquisition, and retention. Communicate campaign details and results to team members. Budget and plan media schedules and sponsorship promotions, ensuring alignment with CUA’s strategic goals. Assist the VP of Marketing with annual marketing planning and budgeting.
  • Manage primary communications inside and outside of the organization, ensuring brand voice is consistent and fully compliant. Oversee the visual identity of the brand and ensure brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all communication materials. Champion initiatives to enhance the overall brand experience for members, ensuring alignment with the credit union’s values and purpose.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement initiatives that acquire new members and boost wallet share through channels such as internet advertising, SEO, social media, email marketing, and digital banking. Develop strategies to enhance member onboarding experiences and improve cross-sale ratios for both new and existing members. Stay informed about digital marketing trends, core system programming, and third-party data systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of marketing professionals through continuous coaching, formal and informal development opportunities, and yearly performance evaluations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams as requested providing valuable insights and guidance for product development, implementation, and branding initiatives.
  • Provide counsel for special events from planning to scheduling to execution to ensure successful outcomes. Assist and support business development, community engagement and staff event planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.

  • Create materials and successful campaigns for organizational goal attainment within approved timelines/budgets.
  • Maintain CUA brand and voice in internal and external communications.
  • Display tact and diplomacy when working with department heads or project teams to propose and facilitate marketing materials needed for support of various department projects.
  • Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, delegation and communication; complete coaching sessions and performance reviews within prescribed time frame.
  • Complete required online regulatory training courses through CPD online with a score of 80% or higher.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Five or more years of similar or related experience.

Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) at least 8 years of comparable experience leading a marketing/branding team within the financial industry.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Strong PC skills (Word, Adobe, Excel Powerpoint), including familiarity with basic graphic design software and video editing. Experience with various content and project management platforms. Internet savvy, able to work independently, strong command of English language including composition, proofing, spelling/grammar skills. Must have excellent organizational skills, communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects. Familiarity with Monday.com is desirable.
