The Senior Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies to grow the audience and increase engagement of content. This role focuses on driving significant engagement across all Company platforms, including but not limited to: growing website traffic, enhancing social media presence, and spearheading promotional activities for key events. The strategist provides creative direction, ensures alignment with business goals, as well as mentors junior team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement content marketing strategies for the Company’s events and content areas, focusing on achieving organizational goals such as increased followers, engagement, participation, and brand awareness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to produce compelling content for digital platforms, social media, newsletters, email campaigns, print, and events, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and audience needs.
  • Adapt and innovate strategies to introduce new ideas while enhancing existing content areas, ensuring relevance and impact.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using data insights to refine strategies and optimize engagement across all platforms.
  • Partner with designers to execute growth-focused social media strategies to expand followers and enhance brand engagement.
  • Oversee the creation of scheduling, and management of innovative and platform-specific content that drives audience interaction.
  • Leverage social media analytics to measure performance, identify trends, and refine strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Lead marketing campaigns for high-profile events, driving ticket sales, participation, and visibility through multi-channel promotions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Develop and manage event marketing plans, including detailed timelines and budgets, working closely with event leads to maximize attendance and revenue.
  • Partner with the SEO specialist to enhance the online presence and improve user interactions.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support community initiatives and website development efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Data Analytics AND 5-8 years of experience in content analysis, content strategy, and digital marketing OR 10+ years of experience in content analysis, content strategy, and digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of growing social media engagement and website traffic.
  • Proven strategic and creative thinking with a strong focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, analytics, and SEO best practices
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills with an eye for design and brand consistency.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work on multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in system applications and tools for workflow optimization.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work hours

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $94,100 to $104,500 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A. Times Studios, LLC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
