Job Duties:

Serve as senior leader for the industry solutions team, drive the program’s strategic marketing efforts, and provide support for scientific outreach and external collaborations. Manage, lead, train, and mentor other staff members to support the program globally. Drive growth of the biologics standards and solutions portfolio for development and manufacturing of biologics drugs in collaboration with the overall global biologics team and the business development group. Review and apply the trends, processes, workflows, and marketing dynamics within the global life science industry to grow USP’s biologics solutions offerings and support our customers in the life science and biopharma industries. Develop and nurture strategic collaborations to support the execution of key growth objectives and ensure alignment with an ambition to support the overall medicine value chain. Leverage the stakeholder’s engagement outcomes to identify new business opportunities, new products, and services. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers of materials of interest to the biologics program and establish business models to execute the biologics strategy. Leverage expertise and experience in business management, strategic marketing, team leadership, and market research to lead and oversee the USP Biologics marketing plan. Oversee the development of product marketing materials, including product brochures, sales tools advertisements, digital and social media content, and any other promotional material required for creating demand around the USP products and driving the success of the biologics marketing plan. Align with cross-functional teams such as marketing communications, market intelligence, regulatory affairs, and global teams to execute annual plans. Contribute to budget planning and revenue forecasting for the biologics program. Lead the program efforts in building a robust online presence and connectivity. Monitor customer satisfaction and identify and recommend appropriate actions to improve customer and product profitability. Identify opportunities to capture value from improved pricing or other initiatives. Telecommuting benefits available. Position requires travel up to 30% internationally.

Requirements:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field and 7 years of experience in a global marketing or business development related occupation (strategic planning, product lifecycle management, Go to Market) in the biologics field of life science industry.

Experience must include:

  • 5 years of team management, managing global teams with remote team management experience across multiple regions (Europe, Asia, United States)
  • 2 years of professional marketing experience abroad (in Europe or Asia);
  • Establishing, conducting business and growing revenues in the Biologics field of life sciences industry;
  • Using Marketing and Strategy tools and processes including new products development portfolio planning and prioritization; Quantitative and qualitative market research’s; Competitive intelligence activities; Customers segmentation; Market sizing, revenues projections, forecasting models and sensitivity analysis; Strategic pricing and value-based pricing strategies; and Budgeting and financial planning;
  • CRM (SalesForce), ERP (Oracle), and data visualization (Business Objects), to track leads, manage pipelines, optimize sales, strategy and marketing processes;
  • Executing successful global launches of products and/or services in life sciences industry in the field of biologic drugs development and manufacturing, or microbiology testing’s;
  • Developing business cases in support of decision making for strategic investments at executive level in multinational companies of the biologics field of the life sciences sector; and
  • Representing the organization in trade shows conferences, business or partnerships or collaboration negotiations, or due diligence activities.

Base Salary Range: USD $ 198,000.00 – 257,000.00 annually.

Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role
