We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of E-Commerce to lead our online sales strategy and drive growth in our digital marketplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of e-commerce trends, customer engagement strategies, and digital marketing techniques. This role requires a creative thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance the customer experience and optimize online sales performance.

Founded in 2011, Aluminyze (www.aluminyze.com) is a digital-first ecommerce brand in the innovative aluminum photo printing space. We are a premium brand, and every product is produced right here in Atlanta!

About You

As our first dedicated marketing hire, you will work hand in hand with the CEO/Founder to come up with new ideas and quickly implement them. You will come up with your own amazing ideas, and also implement those of our founder. Trying new things is exciting and engaging and drives you to put in your all every day.

Your personality is bold, but not stupid! Even though this job post is a bit dry, you shouldn’t be.

Our marketing efforts to date have been very basic, and we are confident that the right person will be able to identify many ways in which we can grow revenues: both within the first 90 days and in the long term. You have experience managing a team, and are also comfortable doing hands on marketing work yourself.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all efforts to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, improve the overall customer experience and tell our story to our target audience. The job will evolve and change over time, and as revenues grow, the budget we allocate more funds to allow you to hire and grow your in-house team. But INITIALLY, you must be comfortable doing most of the work on your own. Here are some target areas where we know we can grow:

Developing and Implementing Digital Marketing Strategies

  • Create a comprehensive digital marketing plan aligned with the company’s goals, focusing on SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and other channels.

Managing Paid Advertising Campaigns

  • Oversee paid search and display campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels, optimizing for ROI and customer acquisition.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Optimize the eCommerce website for search engines, including keyword research, content strategy, and on-page/off-page SEO to increase organic traffic.

Social Media Marketing

  • Develop and manage the company's presence on social media platforms, creating engaging content, partnerships and campaigns to build the brand and drive traffic.

Content Marketing

  • Create bold, fun, different, entertaining and outrageous content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook etc.
  • Plan and execute a content strategy, including blogs, product descriptions, videos, and other formats to attract, engage, and retain customers. We want creative and entertaining content that excites people!

Email Marketing Campaigns

  • Design and implement email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, engage customers, and encourage repeat purchases.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze performance metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, campaign KPIs) to track success, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Manage CRM tools and strategies to personalize marketing efforts, build customer loyalty, and increase lifetime value.

Required Experience

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience for an ecommerce brand.
  • A Can-Do-Attitude and a willingness to jump right in and roll up your sleeves.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
