SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Senior Director of Marketing & Ecommerce will lead the marketing and eCommerce initiatives for the LATAM territory, enhancing brand visibility and driving digital transformation.

The Senior Director of Marketing & Ecommerce oversees the country marketing and eCommerce teams across 10 countries in the LATAM Territory, which includes Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador, Argentina, and Central America.

This position is focused on achieving two primary objectives:

  • Territory Marketing: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that covers PR, digital marketing, channel marketing, events, and point-of-sale initiatives. The aim is to enhance brand visibility, improve customer engagement, and drive market penetration across the territory.
  • Territory Ecommerce: Lead the strategy for eCommerce operations across the territory, focusing on expanding eShop presence, driving digital transformation, and increasing market share through exceptional customer experiences and innovation.

This role emphasizes strategic planning, cross-functional alignment, and team leadership, empowering the marketing and eCommerce teams to execute initiatives while ensuring alignment with global priorities and the opportunities within the territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the vision for marketing and ecommerce in the territory, aligning with global objectives while addressing local market needs. Focus on strategic oversight and delegate execution to team leads.
  • Territory Marketing Leadership: Oversee the creation and execution of the marketing strategy, including PR, digital marketing, channel marketing, events, and point-of-sale initiatives. Ensure all marketing efforts build brand recognition and achieve business goals.
  • Territory Ecommerce Leadership: Lead the strategy for ecommerce growth by enhancing eShop operations, driving customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring competitive positioning. Focus on long-term digital transformation and revenue growth.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between territory teams and global stakeholders, ensuring alignment and seamless implementation of global strategies locally. Build strong relationships with media agencies, marketplace partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Performance Analysis: Oversee the evaluation of key performance metrics, ensuring insights are translated into strategic adjustments. Provide high-level reporting to senior leadership and global teams.
  • Budget Management: Strategically allocate resources for both marketing and ecommerce, ensuring optimal ROI and alignment with financial goals. Maintain high-level oversight of budgeting processes and cost management.
  • Team Leadership: Empower and mentor team leads to take ownership of their respective areas, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Focus on team development and succession planning.
  • Innovation & Trend Analysis: Champion innovation by staying ahead of industry trends, competitive movements, and emerging technologies. Drive the adoption of new strategies and tools to ensure the territory remains competitive.

Required Qualifications:

Years of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Marketing, Business Administration, Ecommerce, or a related field.


Work Experience

  • At least 7 years in senior-level Marketing and Ecommerce roles, with a focus on the technology industry.
  • Experience in managing and leading cross-country teams.

Knowledge and Skills
:

  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Portuguese is preferred.

Tools Knowledge Required:
  • Proficient in: Ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, VTEX), Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Suite.
  • Familiar with: Digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Meltwater) and social tracking tools (e.g., Emplify).
  • Highly Desirable: Knowledge of CRM systems, SEO/SEM, Google Ads, Google AdWords/GDN/YouTube formats, and performance analytics.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Marketing Director, Ecommerce Manager, or similar leadership role with experience in the LATAM market.
  • Experience with omnichannel retail strategies, marketplace management (e.g., Amazon), and collaboration with agencies.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in an office environment involving sitting certain hours a day, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • May require travel up to 35% of international travel and 5% domestic travel.

$150,000-
$200,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in our City of Industry, California office. The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
