Seeking a Senior Manager of Brand Engagement & Community to enhance awareness and engagement for Oula's maternity care services through strategic community building and marketing initiatives.

With fewer C-sections and higher VBAC success rates, our research-backed approach is delivering better outcomes. Our team of trusted midwives, OBGYNs and dedicated care navigators ensure our patients get the type of care they need in the moments that matter most. Since launching in 2021, we've expanded our services to include Preconception and Miscarriage Care, Pregnancy Care, Hospital-Based Delivery, Postpartum Support, and Gynecology. We have 3 clinics in New York, with exciting expansion on the Horizon! Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager of Brand Engagement & Community to join the Oula Marketing team. This role leads community strategy and activation, PR, thought leadership, events and organic social media. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will drive awareness and engagement for our comprehensive approach to maternity care. You should be passionate about improving maternity care in this country, fostering meaningful connections with people and building something impactful at an early stage company. You keep your finger on the pulse to identify trends and best practices in an ever-evolving social space. You will partner closely with the Director of Brand Marketing to ensure consistency and alignment with overall Marketing strategy and business objectives; managing and professionally developing the social media/community manager role.
This is a full time position based in the New York City area. Opportunity for remote work with in person meetings and events required in NYC. This is a benefits-eligible position and the compensation range is $110,000-$125,000 as part of a competitive compensation package. Open to a Director level role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Strategy & Activation: Build and nurture a thriving community of Oula patients and potential new patients that foster engagement and loyalty - tapping into consumer insights to fuel growth
- Public Relations: Oversee awareness driving efforts, supporting overall Marketing plan to accelerate brand awareness and engagement
- Influencer and Thought Leadership: Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with influencers and advocates in the maternal health and wellness space. Identify key visibility opportunities for Oula executives and experts.
- Events/Experiences: Plan and execute local events and experiential marketing initiatives to connect with our audience in person, deepen brand awareness, and create memorable interactions.
- Social Media: Develop and oversee the execution of a cohesive social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's voice and Marketing goals. Manage social media role for platform-specific content creation, posting schedules, and analytics.
- Reporting: Track, measure, and analyze the performance of brand engagement and community initiatives, using insights to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in brand engagement, PR, or marketing roles. Experience in healthcare or a startup environment not required, but a plus.
- Proven experience building community, influencer programs, and event execution.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and project management software.
- Comfort leaning in, being scrappy and wearing multiple hats to grow an early stage company
