Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Digital Operations will champion the processes, infrastructure, and resources to continue to scale Swagelok’s digital marketing efforts, aligned to customer and business need in a high-growth environment. As a Sr. Manager, this person will lead a multi-discipline team responsible for the execution and efficacy of our digital marketing channels and advertising investments – including the development of processes and capabilities required to advance Swagelok’s maturation in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
The person in this role should be equally proficient in analytical thinking, operations management, and the customer journey and, in partnership with director leadership, be able to help align, prioritize, and articulate high-value opportunities for commercial digital enablement based on building a deep familiarity with the organization’s brand, market, product, and channel strategies.
Key partnerships include customer brand management, marketing communications business partners, product management, market management, commercial IT, and commercial leaders in our sales channel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the digital marketing team which includes website platform management, analytics, digital advertising and campaign management, SEO, digital content and asset management, and UX functions
Accountable for $2,000,000+ in agency and digital media spend
Optimize the performance of digital demand channels with an emphasis on scaling effectiveness
Operationalize the team’s processes and project management frameworks to optimize efficiency and cross-functional workflow
Routinely partner with Marketing, the sales channel, and Commercial IT to advance customer-centric digital solutions that align to business need; prioritize digital marketing resources accordingly.
In partnership with director leadership, contribute to development of a roadmap to support buyer enablement of product segmentation strategy; lead execution of horizontal digital marketing tactics
Monitor trends and emerging tools related to buyer enablement, digital advertising, analytics, and integrated marketing campaign management
Based on a deep understanding of business priorities and command of above trends, define and articulate opportunities for Swagelok to keep pace with buyer’s digital preferences and behaviors
Develop talent and capabilities on team, aligned to the organization’s needs and associates’ growth goals. Continuously assess and maintain optimal balance of in-sourced and out-sourced talent to achieve objectives.
Routinely interface with key stakeholders in commercial leadership and report outcomes, actionable insights, and recommendations to executive leadership

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
Experience:
5+ years of combined operational and marketing experience (B2B and global organizations a plus)
3+ years of digital marketing experience
2+ years of direct talent management experience for external candidates. Internal candidates must have experience in informal leadership and influencing without authority
Skills
A high degree of technical acumen and data analytics focus
The ability to translate and transform data into actionable insights
The ability to solve complex problems and define outcomes-focused solutions, prioritizing projects for maximum impact and support for the broader team
Strong command of project management; ability to identify and implement new processes and operational improvements based on stakeholder needs
Build and maintain effective vendor partnerships, aligned to priority needs
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
- Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
