Location: Must be based in the NYC area even though some remote days are
available. Travel is required since some of our events take place all around the five boroughs as well as at times out of state. Must be available for flexible hours due to the nature of events and social media needs.

Our goal is to create a world where women of all backgrounds have access to the resources they need to lead healthy, empowered lives. We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing & Events Manager to join our team and lead our comprehensive marketing strategies and high-impact event initiatives. We host at least one event per week and sometimes attend up to seven.
The Role:
As the Senior Marketing & Events Manager, you will take a lead role in developing, executing, and optimizing our marketing strategies, as well as overseeing the planning and execution of key events. This is a strategic, hands-on position requiring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing and event management. We are looking for someone who is passionate about women’s health, and who can bring fresh ideas and seasoned expertise to help elevate our presence and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop, implement, and refine the organization’s overall marketing strategy across digital platforms (social media, content marketing, and public relations), ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.
- Event Planning & Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of high-impact events, including fundraising galas, conferences, workshops, walk/runs, webinars, and awareness campaigns. Manage all aspects of event logistics, attendance, and post-event analysis.
- Content Creation & Brand Management: Oversee the creation of compelling, on-brand content for newsletters, blogs, social media, and the website. Ensure all communications reflect the organization’s voice, mission, and visual identity.
- Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key partners, donors, influencers, sponsors, and media to extend the organization’s reach, increase visibility, and drive engagement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness and event success. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and improve future initiatives.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with a small, dedicated team, including volunteers and community members. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, other departments, and volunteers to ensure alignment across all initiatives.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at industry events, in media interviews, and other public-facing opportunities. Share expertise and insights on women’s health, advocacy, and non-profit marketing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or event management, with a preference for experience in the non-profit, healthcare, or advocacy sectors.
- Expertise in Digital Marketing: Strong background in social media marketing, content creation, email campaigns, and analytics. Proven ability to develop and execute successful digital marketing strategies.
- Event Management Mastery: Extensive experience managing large-scale events from start to finish, including logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and post-event reporting.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to create compelling narratives and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative & Graphic Design Expertise: Proficiency in graphic design tools and experience creating or editing visual content for digital platforms (images, videos, etc.).
- Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally. Comfortable managing volunteers and collaborating with external stakeholders.
- Passion for Women’s Health: A genuine passion for women’s health issues and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of women and their communities.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools such as social media platforms, CMS, email marketing systems, and marketing analytics tools.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, with a range between $70,000 and $90,000 annually. The exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Benefits include wellness hours, 10 vacation days.
