SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Senior Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the marketing and sales success of South Street Partners' portfolio, contributing to both real estate and hospitality projects.

Position Overview: The Senior Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing and serve as a key leader on the South Street Partners (SSP) marketing team which services both real estate and hospitality properties within the portfolio. The Senior Marketing Manager will support SSP’s portfolio of real estate projects, both existing and new, by acting as both a strategist and an executor. Additionally, this role will assist in the branding and repositioning as needed on new hospitality projects as well as serve as the campaign owner for a myriad of projects for the SSP brand. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded marketing generalist with a background in resort real estate, luxury hospitality, or related industries, capable of seamlessly managing projects across diverse business lines. This candidate has special experience in branding, public relations, asset development, and communications. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, flexibility, and the ability to pivot between high-level strategic planning and detailed execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand, Marketing Campaigns and Content Strategy:
    • Develop and manage marketing campaigns that promote SSP’s developments, properties, and clubs.
    • Develop and manage cross-business line communications plans for new project launches or repositioning.
    • Oversee the creation and distribution of content across multiple channels, including email, social media, digital, pr, and print.
    • Collaborate with the creative teams to maintain consistent brand messaging and elevate storytelling efforts.
    • Oversee shared marketing SOPs and templates to create cohesiveness between teams.
    • Assist with development of new brands across the portfolio.
  • Interim Marketing Leadership for New Projects:
    • Act as the interim marketing manager for new properties, hotels, or developments as needed, providing strategic direction and ensuring effective execution.
    • Serve as a resource for onboarding new teams ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of processes.
  • Strategic Partnerships, Events, and Sponsorships:
    • Work with the VP of Marketing to create, develop, and leverage strategic partnerships across the portfolio.
    • Identify and execute sponsorship opportunities that align with SSP’s brand and marketing goals.
    • Oversee partnership activations and events and collaborate with project teams on sponsorships, events and initiatives to promote the brand and lifestyle offerings of SSP communities.
    • Actively participate in post-event evaluations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Support new property and hotel launches with tailored events and activations.
  • Public Relations and Communication Plans:
    • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and PR teams to develop compelling narratives that elevate brand visibility across SSP developments.
    • Act as a liaison between the PR agency and internal teams, ensuring alignment on goals and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with property teams on content ideas for SSP’s suite of magazines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • This is a hybrid role based in Charleston, SC. Role does have some travel.
  • 5+ years of experience in luxury marketing, with a background in resort real estate, hospitality, private clubs, or related fields preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing strategic partnerships, sponsorships, PR campaigns, and event execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across various business lines, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proactive, positive, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on collaboration and results.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, project management software, and CRM systems.
