The Medtronic Neuromodulation Global Communications team seeks an experienced and dynamic Sr. Principal Communications Generalist to support the execution of global communication strategy. This role is ideal for an innovative thinker with a global mindset, exceptional writing and editing skills, and expertise developing and executing global communications programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Neuromodulation Communications, the Sr. Principal Communications Generalist will execute key communications initiatives that drive business priorities for Medtronic Neuromodulation and enhance Medtronic’s reputation globally. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

As a Sr. Principal Communications Generalist, you will:

  • Develop communication plans that support the global Neuromodulation business strategy.

  • Drive high-impact public relations, media relations initiatives.

  • Develop and execute engaging internal communication strategies that align employees with business priorities and foster a strong organizational culture.

  • Support the development of investor communications, ensuring consistent, accurate, and compelling messaging that highlights business performance, strategic initiatives, and long-term growth potential.

  • Craft compelling narratives, presentations, and thought leadership content.

  • Plan and support communications for events, including conferences, congresses, customer visits, town halls, etc.

  • Prepare executives for public speaking engagements, media interviews, and industry conferences.

  • Serve as a key leader on the Neuromodulation Communications team, providing strategic insights and driving flawless execution of programs and product launches.

  • Create and coordinate the production and strategic channel deployment of high-value content.

  • Develop and execute of proactive reputation-building initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Track, measure and report on communications effectiveness.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a communications role or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced degree

  • Experience in Healthcare Communications

  • Expertise in external and internal communications

  • Expertise navigating diverse cultural contexts and engaging with global audiences.

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale initiatives and deliver results under tight deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of developing innovative communications solutions.

  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions and regions.

  • Expertise with content management systems as SharePoint, Word Press

  • Experience in the MedTech or medical device industry.

  • Consumer-facing communications experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$136,800.00 - $205,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
