Summary

Lidl US is searching for the next Senior Retail Media Specialist to join our team! The Senior Retail Media Specialist is responsible for executing various retail media campaigns. The role will coordinate with our partner to ensure campaigns run smoothly, monitor performance, and provide data-drive insights to improve outcomes. The Senior Retail Media Specialist also prepares reports for settlement reconciliation reporting for campaigns run.


**This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the creation, setup, and activation of digital coupons and cashback offers
  • Coordinate with Partner to ensure proper targeting and delivery of coupons to the right customer segments
  • Work closely with Partner to optimize onsite ads for relevancy, customer engagement, and conversion rates
  • Track performance of ads using analytics tools and make adjustments as needed for better ROI
  • Collaborate with Partner to review and approve creatives, targeting criteria, and campaign details
  • Ensure alignment of ad creatives and messaging with overall marketing goals and targeted demographics
  • Analyze offsite media performance reports from Partner, making recommendations for optimization and future campaigns
  • Pull and analyze performance data on coupons, cashback, onsite, and offsite media campaigns to assess overall effectiveness
  • Regularly update internal teams and leadership on campaign performance, providing insights and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with Partner to fine-tune targeting strategies based on data insights and campaign results
  • Ensure reporting on sales uplift and incremental revenue tied to media and incentive programs
  • Prepare and submit reports for coupon and cashback redemption settlements, ensuring accurate reconciliation between retailer, Partner, and suppliers
  • Track settlement discrepancies and work with Partner to resolve any reconciliation issues
  • Provide regular updates to finance and accounting teams on redemption volumes and settlement amounts
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for Partner, facilitating communication and alignment on ongoing campaigns
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks on the execution of digital incentives and media placements to prevent errors


What You’ll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in media planning and buying tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and DSP platforms
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other relevant software
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data management platforms (DMPs)
  • Experience with ad tech platforms such as The Trade Desk or similar
  • Knowledge of mar tech tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketo
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize media campaigns
  • Ability to develop innovative media strategies that drive brand awareness and sales

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of coupons, cashback, onsite ad, and offsite ad programs
  • Data analysis and ability to interpret marketing performance metrics
  • Communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external teams/vendors
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to adjust campaigns based on performance data
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of digital media channels, including programmatic advertising, social media, and mobile marketing
  • Relevant certifications such as Google Ads Certification, Facebook Blueprint, or IAB Digital Media Sales Certification
  • Hands-on experience with ad tech platforms for programmatic buying and real-time bidding
  • Proficiency in mar tech solutions for campaign automation, customer journey mapping, and personalized marketing

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in media agency / paid media agency
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, or Retail Management.
  • Job experience related to a retail media network.
